The Victorians aggrandised Ventnor, bringing the Old Manor House to life by building extensions onto one of the oldest cottages, radiating old-fashioned charm with antiquated items now made for luxurious holidays. Old Manor House is conveniently close to the central part of the town and the paths down to the sea at Ventnor Bay, with a flat lawn & St Catherine’s Church view. Rattling with old-fashioned charm, the Guest Wing is now made for modern living with antiquated items.

VENTNOR

On the South-East Coast of the Isle of Wight lies a Victorian seaside town of unparalleled beauty and tranquillity. Ventnor is recognised as one of the top 10 seaside resorts in the UK, with its Blue Flag beach. The village has a lovely selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and an ice-cream parlour making all homemade produce. The harbour offers sea safari trips which are great fun for all ages, and the fishery provides a wide selection of fresh catch of the day.
Set into the hillside, it has its own ‘micro-climate’ as St Boniface Down shelters it. The Botanical Gardens have an exceptional collection of flowers, some of which can only be grown here since Ventnor enjoys warm evenings, mild winters and one of the best sunshine records in the UK.
